The end is near for a legend

Today Sony ceases shipments of the PS 2 console in Japan.

After originally releasing all the way back in March 2000, Sony has managed to sell an staggering 150 million units.

Sony hasn't said if they will cease shipments to other regions, but it's painfully obvious the writing is on the wall.

I remember getting that !! at Wal-Mart for $299. Was the first one on the block with one. It was SSX all day long. Then Twisted Metal Black all night long. Then Madden burned up my laser a good 3 months later and I got the disc read error. Had to send that !! into Sony to be fixed.

I always wondered why they still sell the previous gen system. Who's buying a brandnew ps2? I could see getting a used on, but brand new? This !! is damn near 13 years old. Would you buy a brand car from 2000 or just get it used or cop the newer model?

The new one better have cheats. I played sleeping dogs and was mad i couldnt get all the weapons or drop the heat level without actually doing it the right way
