Black Ops 2: League Play Detailed

A major problem plaguing online match making systems in games is to balance out the skill levels between both teams. Treyarch is looking to maintain this to allow players of considerable lower skill to play amongst others with the same skill.

Their remedy to the problem is ‘League Play’ where you participate in placement matches that decide how good you really are. After that you are put in a division that is similar to your skill. It’s unconfirmed at this point but Treyarch will most probably have divisions named as Bronze, Silver, Gold and maybe even Platinum.

Once in your division you can go ahead and play in a smaller community comprised of equals.

Once the game is launched Treyarch will be keeping a close on the League Play. Based on it’s performance they will decide whether or not to integrate it into the main game in the future.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 will release for all major platforms on 13th of November.

I'm all for players competing on the same skill level [pic]

The current model is probably better for me. The skill level of the people I play with range from top shelf to bottom feeders. I have more fun just playing with them than just winning flat out.

I hope they still have some unranked or casual mode for guys like me.

thats lame...... I dominate most of the time but i don't mind periodically going up against a team of well organized players.... After all you get sharper playing against people that are better than you....

Your an idiot. If you feel "amazing" playing against the ppl then the system didnt work. get it? If your playing amazing (21/1 k/d) then the people most likely arent at your skill level. Let that sink in [pic]
The way the system works, you'd be faced against people who are just as good as you, which isnt all that good. Sometimes I just want to run through niccas, u wont be able to do that if everyone is as good as you. get it yet?

Make a lobby just for !!ing split screeners.

Also, make a lobby for anybody who unwraps the game on December 25th and plagues all the lobbies with their stank doodooness.

I liked how you put emphasis with your Turquoise coloring choice. Very effective and definitely made its point.

I like playing against people that are my level, at COD That is not every good. Top Spin 4 is the my favorite game to play against people of equal level(play against someone whack and it takes 5 minutes if they dont quit, play against someone equal and it can take an hour if it goes all the way in each set)

I barely play CoD but when i do i nearly always jump into matches that are nearly over, after someone has gotten 10-15 k#lls in a free for all the lobby should be locked til the games over not have people joining when someone only needs 1 or 2 more k#lls
