According to IBF junior welterweight champion Ricky Hatton, the "old Hatton" is back, and his younger brother Matthew agrees. Trainer Billy Graham had to actually break the two of them up from a tough sparring session.

anything can happen in boxing.. yall should know it only takes a punch and thats it WHOEVER u are... this dude hatton can punch no doubt about that.. so anybody who thinks its a give in mayweather would win is ignorant...
if hatton was to try to box mayweather he wouldnt have a chance.. if he looks to mix it up and take the fight to him like oscar did anything can happen...

It's funny how Hatton ALWAYS has something to say when it seems least likely a match can be made.
Everytime PBF moves to a different division... or already has to fights lined up... or RETIRES... Hatton has something to say.
All these guys that be screaming Floyd's name don't even want none. That's why they only go after guys that PBF already beat. Cuz, he gave them the blueprint on how to win.
I've already SEEN, on film.... Hatton's people say they don't want to fight Floyd.
He's convinced he wants a big payday

Hatton better dominate JL Castillo cause he's a lil overrated, he wrestles more than punches. He did beat Kosta Tsyzu, but he was already pretty old when he beat him.
Also, Mayweather would beat him easily. He's wayyyyyyyyy to fast for him.

Castillo's pretty solid...he hangs his chin in the air a bit much, but he's extremely tough on the inside. Should be interesting seeing who wins on the inside Hatton vs. Castillo..........and i agree, Hatton did beat Tszyu at the right time, not only was Tszyu advanced in age but he was also injury-stricken. To Hatton's credit tho, he did take some flush right hands from Tszyu.

Like we said before....
Old Champ (who picks his shots) vs. Young fighter (with high output) = Upset
My problem with Hatton and Cotto.... how can you be a champion (Hatton was sumthin like 38-0 and Cotto was 25-0), and then when PBF offers to negotiate a fight... you say your not ready.
After 60+ fights how can you STILL not be ready?
When PBF was at 140.... Hatton ain't want none. The PBF leaves the division, then Hatton realizes he wants to fight PBF. Hatton goes to PBF's division and promptly runs back down south. PBF moves up ANOTHER weight class... wins, then retires. All of a sudden, now more than ever, Hatton realizes he can beat PBF :smh: Pale ass faggot!

stogz....Hatton became the champ when he beat the champ, i have to give him that...............Cotto, i think he's just been viewed as a titleholder.
remember in anotha topic, we were sayin how wise it is to take those title shots/money ASAP as opposed to waiting for the right time?
i guess Hatton & Cotto missed theirs.

They did... they both missed oout on PBF. Also, Cotto ain't never gonna go back down in weight so, they both missed their chances against each other.

I rememba the Friday Night Fights with Hatton as the special guest following his win over Tszyu...when Hatton said in response to Floyd callin that fight a WWF match, "I'll be gentle with him"....Hatton said himself he'd be ready in a few fights..........it doesn't work like that when u become the champion, as Hatton became when he beat Tszyu....u get all your "warm ups" and "tune ups" on the road to becoming champ....it shouldnt get any easier once u reach the throne, Floyd didn't want/need a warmup neitha should have Hatton.

he's convinced he can beat Mayweather huh? And why would that be? Becuase he puts his head down and goes forward no matter what? Or because he has little to no footwork at all? Mayweather has blinding speed, good power, excellent footwork and a solid chin, Hatton ain't beating him no way no how...hatton just running his mouth, trying to get a shot at a big pay day and the title.....

Hatton only claim to fame is his victory over a very old Kostya. Kostya out skilled hatton in every way, but hatton held a pace that kostya couldnt keep up with. Realisticly if Hatton could fight mayweather in the same or semilar fasion then he could beat mayweather. But i doubt that because the kostya hatton fight was the only time i seen hatton look good.

If Zab would've just not show-boated, and the ref didn't stop the fight so early.... Kostya wouldn't have even fought hatton.
