I think so... win you get a victory via split decision over a "Danny Batchelder"... you need to retire. He is not young enough to have high offensive output. He ain't strong enough to hurt anyone. He refuses to get into proper shape. His foot work hasn't gotten soo terrible....
:thumbsdow to James Toney

The thing about Toney is, he was great at 160 & 168...he was even acceptable at 190 (Cruiserweight at the time). Toney's never been a concussive puncher, even at 168. He's always been one to hurt opponents from accumulation. His combination punching was his biggest asset, next to his brilliant defense.....At heavyweight, right now at least, he's trying to become a 1 puncher which is something he wasn't able to be even at 168....Toney should hang em up, and put a period at the end of what has been a wonderful career.

^^^Evander was & still is a solid opponent. Despite how he looked against Byrd, Donald & Holyfield. We seen what he can do to "unknown" opponents (Bates & Maddalone).

I think he possess the skill to be a top contender but his lazyness inbetween fights make him look sloppy as hell in the ring. If he doesnt want to work he needs to retire before he is seriously hurt. Id hate to see one of the greatest fighters of our era seriously messed up.

it's apparrent the sanctioning bodies don't want tony to hold any of their belts. boxing turned against him it seems overnite.
he's still one of the best up against the rope fighters doing it to this day, but he should just quit. wouldn't mind seeing him make one more title run because honestly, the heavyweight division is pure sh*t.
