MLB 2k7 Achievement Glitch + Batting Q

I was just playing a little while ago and I got the "strike out the side" achievement, well you know how the game slows up for a sec then the achievement comes up. Well that happened and I checked the achievement, when I go back into the game the 3rd guy I struck out was on 1st base and the number 4 batter was up even though I just struck out the 1-3 guys and got the achievement, has this happened to anyone else?

Batting question, this is my first time playing a 2k baseball game in forever and I'm not a fan of the whole swing stick stuff, Didn't like it in EA's NCAA game and don't like it here. So I switched it to classic. So when swinging, am I using the directional stick to place where I want the ball to go or am I using it to where I want the bat to aim? Example, lets say the pitcher threw a fastball low and in, would I be aiming the stick up and in so I could get underneath it or would I aim the stick low and in to make the best contact with the ball?

Yeah the game has small glitches like that, but there very rare. I've played around 80 games and I've olny had 1 really glaring issue like that. Ryan Howard hit a triple then when it cut back to me on the mound for the next pitch he was no longer on third as if the at bat had never taken place.

Sadly if you choose to use classic batting it really doesnt matter where you aim, roughly 1 outta every 4 at bats will result in a homerun. So yeah you gotta learn the hitstick which suucks at first but you'll come to like in time. But using classic hitting is a kin to cheating. Just makes the game way too easy.
