First and foremost, there will be no hating and/or personal attacks on anyone in this forum. Keep this clean, fun, and competitive at all times.
If you are called out, you may decline the battle, but if you accept, and don't show, that is a forfeit and it will be logged as an L.
If a battle is scheduled and both parties decide not to acept after the battle thread is made, then that battle will be void, and no W or L will be given.
You may call out multiple opponents, but you may have onbly 1 active battle at any given time, however, if someone calls you out, you may accept and the battle may commence.
When the battle is on, there will be no freeposting. When you vote for who you thought was the best in the battle, you must say why you voted the way you did or else your vote will not be counted.
All free posts that isn't a tally of the score will be deleted.
This is for poetry battles only. There will be NO RAP allowed, there is already a place for that.
ALL battles will be topical. You may set your own topic, but it has to be agreed on upon both parties. The battle will not commence until it is poeted in the arena.
*EDIT*- Title Battles are now in effect.
If someone calls you out, you have 7 days from the day they post to respond or you will forfeit the battle and the person that called you out will be determined the winner, so make sure you check the call out section often.
Voting will be as follows.....the first person to recieve 7 votes will be declared or if you get 5 unanswered votes you will be declared winner. Also, to cut down on the time of a battle...if the battle is not finished within 10 days, the votes will be tallied and the person with the highest vote will be declared the winner.
Voters-When you place your vote, you must explain why you voted the way you did in detail naming what you did and did not like about both pieces and the thing that put one over the other to you. Any vote that isn't done this way will not be counted.
If you do not win, don't whine or complain about it, simply come back here and ask for a rematch.
Remember to look at these battles as nothing more than endurance exercises...this is just for fun.
If the challenge is accepted, both parties must send their drops to the mod that is handling the battle so that the battle will be anonymous until the end.
Also, after the challenge is accepted and the battle thread is made, you have 5 days to post your poem, or the battle will be cancelled. After the first poem is posted, your opponent will have 5 days to post his/her poem. If not the result will be a forfeit...However, if you feel as if you cannot make the deadline, pm a mod of this section to have a hold placed on the battle....
Check this section frequently, as we may post random battles, just to keep things interesting.
If you don't understand any of these rules, e-mail me at don.savant@gmail.com and i will be happy to explain further.
Let's have fun with this folks....good luck to all.
