It's a combination of everything to be honest.

When they come right lyrically, they're nice. They're beats are 75% of the time on point, they have that swagger like dude above me said... when they're at their best, they have it all going for them.

This is why I like Dipset:

1. Beats you can bump. Not necessairly the most complex beats, but you can bump them and they're enjoyable to listen to.

2. Nice lines/verses. Not lyrical, but they have some good punchlines and verses. More funny and make you go "Oh sh*t." No lessons in their rhymes so they're not thought provoking in any way. But I will admit some of their lines are really smart and probably took a few good minutes to think of, this applies heavily to J.R. Writer, who I think puts a lot of thought behind his lines.

3. 40 Cal and J.R. Writer provide those sick punchlines and lines that make you go "Oh sh*t," S.A.S. brings the metaphores and Santana and Cam'ron bring the sick verses. So you have a good mix of things to choose from.

4. Good music to bump in the car. Like I said nice bumpy beats and throw on some sick lines every now and then. Nothing too serious with the lyrics just your typical J.R. Writer punchline, Jim Jones sh*t talk and Cam'ron verse.

5. In my opinion compared with the current mainstream line up, Dipset is better than the rest skill wise. They are also better production wise. So Dipset > mainstream.

I really like Cam because his soothing lulaby raps put me fast asleep. His simplistic dr. sues like rhyming ability really kicks in if you're trying to relax. And the rest of Dipset is great backup singers.

Cam'ron is the only person I've ever known who's sexuality has come in question so many times that he has to create a catch phrase for all the times something he says might be accidently interpreted as "homo", so he then can set the record "straight." If he's not gay, he' the most insecure guy ever.

Do you listen to what they say? I guess you like people making up dumbass words and rhyming the same stupid thing over and over again.

I only like a couple members cuz of their beats and crazy word play. Camron (Been riding for him since 357 and before Dipset), Juelz Santana (He is starting to get repetitive), Hell Rell (His punchlines are crazy and his voice and flow are nice.), JR Writer (Sounds like Cam to me), S.A.S. (Just recently started liking them. Kind of weird listening to cats with English accents) & 40 Cal (Cuz his punchlines are crazy.)
