Uk Hip-Hop legend, but still doesn't get respect when it's due..which has been for the past 10 years. I always come across little pricks who talk sh*t and say he sounds like a yank.
He's currently doing an album with Baby J, he did the production for Skinnyman's album, and the release party is probably in February.
So give him a listen, if you have already, then respect either way. He is the hardest working emcee in the UK and is the definition of both street and respectful and he is a very consistent artist.
And if you want a little peak of how generous this guy is, he is currently doing a cd duplication service for mostly street kids in London and is 60% cheaper than the competition! He's a true giver and doesn't get near enough back.

true indeed....storms are brewing got slept on hard...granted hes not everyones cuppa tea but he is dope and although open to debate, he is 1 of the pioneers to uk hip hop...well 1 of the pioneers who got noticed on a broader scale if you feel me...

for sure...I bought storms are brewing last year and love it
definitely one of the pioneers, he's built everything he has on respect and you don't come across barely anyone that has put in so much to his career.
you don't get many artists that will go through with a remix competition and actually live up to what he promised. he's meeting with the kid who won it on saturday and will probably be on a 12" or b-side of it. he works 21 hours days and he basically works every day of every week

I'm not a big fan.
Yes, because he sounds like a yank :( It just doesn't appeal to me...
I respect him like I respect Westwood - for pushing the scene in its early days but I'm not a huge fan.
Though if someone could up the Mark B & Blade album they did together - I'd appreciate it.
I've known of Blade for years now... heard nearl all his material... the earlier stuff he may've had an American twang of some sort. But the Hitmen For Hire joint and after that he had NO American accent as far as i can tell. I never really came accross anyone who said he sounded American before...lol.
Survival of the hardest working... i live by that motto. And yeah, he IS a legend in the UK scene. I remember seeing Mark B & Blade on Top of the Pops when "Ya don't see the signs" (had to have a guitar lick in teh remix to crossover!?!?!!?) dropped, they were so close in breaking through to that wider audience... in some respects they did.

not a massive fan, i think he can be quite boring at times
although i have a soft spot for him cos of a certain live performance at the glasgow art school. classic gig, massive stage invasion, people going bush. if anyone was there, i was the one who fell over an amp on the stage then landed on my neck causing my builders arse to be bared to the few audience members who weren't on stage

For anyone that actually still think he sounds like a yank is out of their mind, especially know..doesn't sound like on AT ALL

LMFAO... How would that affect what I think of his music... As I said I respect his grind but his music doesn't really appeal to me.

Out of interest - where is he from? Cuz I am listening to 'Storms Are Brewing' right now and he has no discernable real UK accent and he is definately putting a slight yankee accent on. Not to mention he has terrible breath control.
Bless.

ah man, fu*k knows. i was buckfast drunk, can't remember much, my mates explained to me what happened the next day. i remember blade's manager getting on the mic and making a twat of himself, i remember some breakers coming out towards the end, and i apparently bought plus one a drink and chatted to him, although i have no idea what the fu*k i said

I wasn't trying to sway your views on Blade at all, I was just stating fact
Blade is from the Armenian Quarter of Iran and moved to the UK when he was in his young teens I believe, had to take care of himself and like I said he really does reflect the definition of Street
