we dont get that many hip hop acts down here in australia but recently weve been getting a lot more, i guess exposure. with that being said, i just came back from seeing jean grae perform at the basement in circular quay, sydney. let me just say that the whole night was off the hook. my mate and i missed the train on the way there and then afterwards cityrail shut down so we had to trek home by alternate means of transportation. it took us damn near two and a half hours to get home. anyways, my point being that after all that, my spirit just couldnt be crushed. in other words, it was all worth it! like i said, we dont get that many shows here but jean grae put on the dopest set ive ever experienced. she performed tracks from all of her lps and eps, even sh*t from the leaked jeanius album with 9th. she was succint, crisp and flawless with her delivery, she was laidback and funny, she interacted with the crowd on a personal level, she was passionate and beautiful, her lyrics were just unbelievably phenomenal. i was amped about going to see jean grae perform but she exceeded all expectations. at one point she got aussie emcees like macromantics and anecdote and they all busted a free. sh*t was bananas! for those that dont know, anecdote is nice with it. im still in disbelief of how good she was. we were like standing 1 metre away from her! anywho, what im saying is that, jean grae is the truth. she doesnt ever get enough props for her work. she is so amazingly talented. she is better than like 90% of the dudes in the game today. i just hope that we get more solid hip hop acts like that down under in the near future...

yeh from what i heard it sounded like a good show. i hope she comes to the UK on her way back from touring. You gotta be disappointed about the slick rick and big daddy kane tour bein cancelled tho..
