EZA u dont know Sh*t bout the UK scene. the uk hip hop scene is just in its infancy, only now are artists making it much bigger. about 60 % of UK hip hop sounds different to US hip hop, and the other 40% are only copying because the US style is commercially stable. and if u want to heat somthing even more different within the UK hip hop scene try listening to the style GRIME.

If you think its trash ok but I think thats cause it is a new sound. Its not nothing like hip-hop. Beats are different, lyrics are different, grime is a new sound to alot of people outside the UK. It didnt grow on us straight away, it became big for us after a while of getting used to the hype bars and nowadays mcs taking it to more serious levels talking about politics etc.

if u like pop music u'd like those albums if u like hip hop u should be catchin people like klashnekoff /kysa / doc brown / lowkey /task force/ roots manuva/ blak twang/ skinnyman that would be a better reprasentation of uk hh. despite what others have said in this thread uk hh is not in it's infancy the first uk hh/electro track was in 1984 called london bridge, our hip hop might not be blowing up the world, but it is reppin the uk & our way of life! our hip hop artists haven't got a lot of slick U.S.marketing behind them, so it stands to reason that artists such as dizzee rascal who make pop music & have got a bigger budget behind them are the ones u have heard! it's all about making an effort to find out what's out there if u still not feeling uk hh after listening to those artists then fair enough it's not for u, just like a lot of us hh means nothing is not 4 me, but pleasedon't hate on something just becauseit's different to what u are used to!
