Everyone let me know what you think....
How We Live
Save us from ourselves
We’re living life like we’re in a cell
When I die I’m sure to go to heaven
Cause I been through hell
Lord forgive me for I have sinned
But I’m just a product of this world I’m in
I sold my soul to the devil for the right price
Our whole lives we struggle
Never to survive the fight
Surrounded by darkness
Never to find the light
Searching for god, I almost met him twice
Growing up poor, but never knew it
The worst of times I went through it
A soldier because in those times I made it
And the pain and sorrow in time it faded
Around here there’s no love
Just phony friends and fake thugs
Fake smiles and fake hugs
Where half sell and the other half use the drugs
Around here babies are having babies
And being alive and free at 21 is a maybe
Where there’s no time to mend broken hearts
Or weak friendships that fell apart
And you’ll never know where you’re going
If you don’t know where you started
It’s where everyone’s addicted to the all mighty dollar
For most it’s too hard to lead but real easy to follow
It’s like a revolving door, can’t get away
Because we’re stuck around here
Wouldn’t have luck
If it weren’t for my bad luck around here
Wouldn’t know about doing good
If it weren’t for doing bad
And wouldn’t know about being happy
If it weren’t for being sad
Life is tough; it’s real rough around here
Sometimes I feel like giving up
Cause I had enough around here
But I have to keep moving
And to everyone keep proving
I’m here to win not lose
So I can never give up
They say I’ll never live up, to their expectations
My failure is their speculation
But that just motivates me more
And pushes me farther
Me against the world is when I needed my father
But I’m not going to let it bother me
Destined for greatness I feel it, it’s apart of me
Even though right now it’s too far to see
Don’t bother me; I’m on my way
One day I’ll make it
They know it and they hate it
How We Live
